Changelog

What’s new.

1.0.0October 2026

The first release.

A Dock of your own for the Mac, with room for widgets beside your apps.

New

  • A Dock for apps, folders and stacks, files, links, spacers and widgets, on the left, bottom or right edge of the display you choose.
  • 34 widgets in 66 styles: clocks and timers, Calendar with one-click Join, Reminders, Sticky Note, Hydration, Now Playing, Shortcut and Command, AirDrop and App Folder, Battery, System and Network Activity, AI Limits, AI Activity, Claude, Codex, Kilo and Cursor Sessions, Weather, Stripe, Paddle, Shopify, Mollie, Revenue API, Stock and Watchlist.
  • Liquid Glass on macOS 26, the same glass as Apple’s Dock, following the same Appearance settings in macOS. A frosted material on macOS 15.
  • Running apps, minimized windows with previews, badges mirrored from Apple’s Dock, the Trash, magnification and auto-hide.
  • “Keep windows clear of the Dock”, “Touch the screen edge” for a few more pixels, and a desktop widget mode.
  • Accordions: apps, widgets and folders behind one icon, opened above the Dock with a click.
  • Render progress for DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and After Effects on their icons, with a notification when a render ends.
  • Your next calendar event in the menu bar, with Join for meetings.
  • Apple’s Dock is hidden while Quai’s is on, and comes back when you turn Quai’s Dock off or quit.
  • Updates inside Quai: it tells you when a new version is out, and installs it itself once you activate the license key from your purchase email.

Good to know

  • $14.99 once, for every Mac you own. No account and no analytics: Quai only connects to the services you set up, such as Open-Meteo for weather or Yahoo Finance for stocks.
  • Every permission is optional and asked for when you use what needs it.
  • Requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later.
