Quai turns the Dock into the place you look first: your next meeting, today’s sales, and the moment your AI needs you.

Made for coding with AI

Your AI, at a glance.

Quai keeps an eye on your coding assistants. See how much of Codex, Claude Code and Copilot you have left, follow every Claude Code, Codex, Kilo and Cursor conversation by name, and watch the tile light up the moment one needs you.

NewIt taps you on the shoulder.

When Claude, Codex, Kilo or Cursor finishes, the whole tile turns into “Claude is ready”, with the conversation’s name: one click and you’re back in it. Run out of Claude or Codex and it counts down to the second you’re back, then pings and lights up green the moment you are. Each one can be turned off from the widget’s menu.

Know when it needs you.

Every Claude Code conversation in the terminal or VS Code, by the name on its tab, working or waiting. The tile tells you the moment one is done, and so does a notification.

Your revenue, live in the Dock.

Connect Stripe, Paddle, Shopify or Mollie — or any API that returns JSON. Sales, MRR and orders keep themselves up to date, so the dashboard tab can stay closed.

Revenue, net after fees, MRR, ARR, subscribers or orders — today, this month, or the period you pick. Sharing your screen? Click the tile to blur every amount, and again to bring them back.

Your Dock is on screen all day, so Quai waits for things to happen instead of checking on them. We measured it at rest, with live widgets.

0.76% CPUCPU, on average, at rest
5%0
  • 0 processes launched
  • 1.2 wake-ups a second
  • 90 s measured, every second
Quai’s own CPU plus anything it launched, in percent of one core, on a MacBook Pro (M3 Max, macOS 26) with five live widgets (System Activity, Weather, Claude Sessions, Revenue API and Command), 14 apps, app badges, minimized windows with previews and the Trash, while nobody touched the Mac. Measured October 15, 2026.

Nothing to sign up for, nothing sent home. Your Dock, your keys and your numbers stay on your Mac.

Privacy

TL;DR
  • No tracking
  • No ads
  • No analytics
  • No account

Your Dock, your widgets and your keys stay on your Mac. Quai only goes online for the widgets you add, straight to the service behind them, and to check for updates.

No account, no cloud

Nothing to sign up for, nothing synced, nothing kept about you. The only thing Quai asks us is whether there’s an update.

Straight to the source

Weather comes from Open-Meteo, quotes from Yahoo Finance, revenue from Stripe or Shopify — directly, with nothing in between.

Keys stay in your Keychain

Stripe, Paddle, Shopify and Mollie keys go to your login Keychain, and only ever to the service they belong to.

Permissions are optional

Widgets ask for theirs when you add them; Accessibility and Screen Recording are yours to turn on in Settings. Take any of them back in System Settings.

Read the privacy policy

34 widgets

Everything you glance at. Alive.

Widgets sit in the Dock like apps do. They tick, they play, they update — and a click opens the whole picture.

Native

Made of the same glass as macOS.

On macOS Tahoe, Quai’s Dock is Liquid Glass, matched side by side with Apple’s own Dock. Like Apple’s, it follows macOS: the Liquid Glass setting in Appearance, Light and Dark mode, Reduce Transparency, Increase Contrast and Reduce Motion. And it works with VoiceOver.

Apps, the way you know them

Launch bounce, running dots, badges mirrored from Apple’s Dock, and every open window in the right-click menu.

Folders that stand out

Tint a folder, give it a letter, or show it as a stack that fans out. Click and hold to browse it.

Links and files

Drop a link or a file from Finder or your browser. Keep the site’s icon, or pick a symbol and a color.

Minimized windows

Each one gets its own place in the Dock, with a preview of the window if you allow it.

Magnification and auto-hide

The settings you know, with gentler scaling for widgets and an optional handle while the Dock is hidden.

Any edge, any display

Left, bottom or right, on the display you choose. Drag the divider to make it bigger or smaller.

Room for your windows

Expanded windows can stop at the Dock’s edge instead of sliding under it.

Every Space, even full screen

The Dock follows you to every Space. Over a full-screen app it steps aside, and comes back when you hold the pointer at the edge.

Drop to open

Drop files on an app to open them with it, or apps on an App Folder to add them.

Files that move, stay put

Rename or move a file or folder you keep in the Dock, and its place follows it.

Room for everything

A Dock with more than fits scrolls, with arrows at its ends.

Or right on the desktop

Use it as a desktop widget, behind your windows, with Apple’s Dock back in its place.

Accordions

Tuck apps, widgets and folders behind one icon. A click opens them above the Dock, like a stack, with the widgets still live.

A few more pixels

Let the Dock touch the screen’s edge: it sits flat against it, square where they meet, and windows come right down to it. Try it above.

Renders on the icon

DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and After Effects fill their icon as they render, and Quai tells you when it’s done.

Your next meeting, up top

Show your next event in the menu bar, like Notion Calendar, with today’s and tomorrow’s agenda and Join a click away.

Questions.

How much does Quai cost?

$14.99, once. There’s no subscription and no account, and you can install it on every Mac you own.

That’s the launch price, until Oct 29; after that, Quai costs $19.99.

Does it tell me when Claude or Codex is done?

Yes. The session’s tile turns into “Claude is ready” (or Codex, Kilo or Cursor) for a few seconds, with the conversation’s name, and macOS shows a notification if you allow it. When you run out of Claude or Codex, the tile counts down to the reset, then pings and turns green once you’re back.

Which AI tools does it follow?

Usage limits for Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot and Antigravity CLI; daily activity for Codex, Claude or Grok; and live Claude Code, Codex, Kilo Code and Cursor sessions. Quai reads what these tools keep on your Mac, and asks the ones you already use — the Codex and Claude Code CLIs, the GitHub CLI — which check with their own service under your account.

Which revenue services does it connect to?

Stripe, Paddle, Shopify and Mollie, with the key or credentials from each service’s dashboard, and Revenue API for any address that returns JSON. Keys are kept in your Keychain and only ever sent to the service they belong to.

How do updates work?

Every update is included. Quai checks for new versions once a day if you allow it. Activate the license key from your purchase email, and it downloads and installs them itself; otherwise it tells you when one is out, with a link to your download page.

What happens to Apple’s Dock?

While Quai’s Dock is on, Apple’s Dock stays out of sight. Turn Quai’s Dock off from the menu bar, or quit Quai, and Apple’s Dock comes back with your own settings.

Can I keep several Docks?

No — Quai has one Dock, and you arrange it however you like: on the left, bottom or right edge of the display of your choice.

Which Macs does it run on?

Any Mac with macOS 15 Sequoia or later, Apple silicon or Intel. Liquid Glass needs macOS 26 Tahoe; on Sequoia, Quai uses a frosted material instead.

What permissions does it need?

None to get started. Accessibility, which you turn on from Settings › Dock, enables app badges, minimized windows and keeping windows clear of the Dock. Screen Recording is used only for window previews, and to read the percentage of Premiere Pro and After Effects renders. Calendars, Reminders and Location are asked for when you add the widget that needs them.
